Three sites are being considered for new Sacramento high school

District needs to open a neighborhood high school to replace site that became a charter school.
June 5, 2007

Sacramento school officials have settled on three possible sites for a new neighborhood high school to replace Sacramento High, which they turned into charter school in 2003. Bill West, facilities chief for the Sacramento City Unified School District, says district officials will review each proposal over the next few months and try to figure out which one makes the most sens --financially and logistically. The new school, which will serve from 500 to 800 students, is required to open by fall 2008.
