California schools may have sold tainted cookie dough
Peanut butter cookie dough sold to raise funds for several Southern California schools is being recalled because it may be tainted with salmonella, the state Department of Public Health says. The dough is the latest peanut butter product to be recalled amid a salmonella outbreak that may have caused six deaths and 470 illnesses across the nation. Consumers are urged to dispose of the dough, which is packed in a 3-pound white plastic tub and labeled Sweet Success Peanut Butter Cookie Dough.
