North Carolina allows 13 charter schools to expand

State board approves plans to boost enrollment or add grades

From The Raleigh News & Observer: Thirteen charter schools in North Carolina have received the go-ahead from the State Board of Education to expand. The board voted to allow the schools to add students or grade levels. Charter schools must get approval from the State Board of Education to grow more than 10 percent.
