New Hampshire legislative committee calls for suspending building aid program

Report says program has grown too expensive

FromThe Manchester Union-Leader: A committee studying the New Hampshire school building aid program has approved a final report that calls for suspension of the program. The interim report to the Legislature notes that the cost of the program has increased by 150 percent in the last decade, from $18.5 million in 1999 to $46 million budgeted for 2011.
