Plans in limbo for merging campuses in Wisconsin

Officials had proposed merging the University of Wisconsin campuses in Milwaukee and Waukesha.

Two years after an idea to merge the University of Wisconsin campuses in Milwaukee and Waukesha first materialized, its future remains uncertain. Both supporters and critics of the merger say they're disapponted that the hotly debated issue seems to have dropped off the radar screen without any formal decision. Administrators in the UW System say they are still formulating recommendations on whether to pursue a merger or some other option to improve service at Waukesha's two-year campus.
