The Columbia (Mo.) district has won approval of a $60 million bond proposal that will enable it to build an elementary school and the first phase of a new high school.

EARLIER: The Columbia (Mo.) district is asking voters Tuesday to approve a $60 million bond proposal. The money would enable the district to build its 20th elementary school and the first phase of new a high school. Money also would be used to install air conditioning at five elementary schools and upgrade classroom technology.
