Two-thirds of Texans lack confidence in state's public schools, poll says

Only 26 percent say they have "complete" or "a great deal" of confidence in their school systems

From The Texas Tribune: More than two-thirds of Texas residents say their confidence in the state's public schools ranges from shaky to nonexistent, according to a University of Texas/Texas Tribune Poll; 26 percent express "complete" or "a great deal" of confidence in the public schools; 31 percent say they have "hardly any" or "very little" confidence. The other 42 percent say they have "only some confidence" in the primary system for educating the state's children.
