University of Maryland plans to buy shuttered newspaper plant in College Park

School will pay $12 million facility owned by The Washington Post

News release: The University of Marylandplans to buy a shuttered production plant in College Park owned by The Washington Post. The plant, with about 300,000 square feet on 18.5 acres, will provide the flexibility the university needs to create a multi-phased relocation of services now on the East Campus site. The purchase, estimated at $12 million, must be approved by the state's Board of Public Works.
