Some question the wisdom of the $104,800 upgrade

From The Hattiesburg American: The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg has spent $104,800 to upgrade its electronic billboard. The billboard now has full color LED lights with capabilities for text, photo animation and video. The old sign was limited to text messages. Some on campus are criticizing the university for upgrading the billboard during a time of academic program and faculty cuts.
