Asbestos removal shuts down elementary in Sacramento

Fruit Ridge students will be housed in empty building 4 miles away

From The Sacramento Bee: A Sacramento elementary school will remain closed for the remainder of the school year while crews remove attic insulation containing asbestos fibers. Fruit Ridge Elementary students will be moved four miles away to the old Bear Flag Elementary School. The independent charter Language Academy will remain on the Fruit Ridge campus in portables that do not contain asbestos fibers.
