3 schools in Hawaii targeted for closing

State school superintendent says move would save as much as $2 million a year

From The Honolulu Star-Advertiser: Hawaii schools Superintendent Kathryn Matayoshi is recommending the school board close three small elementary schools in May. The closings would save as much as $2 million a year. Being eyed for closure are Queen Liliuokalani Elementary in Kaimuki and two Kalihi elementary schools, Kalihi and Puuhale.
