Blue Valley pays $9 million for Overland Park church that closed last year in a foreclosure
From The Kansas City Star: The Blue Valley (Kan.) School District will pay $9 million for a vacant church complex in southern Overland Park and convert it for use as an early childhood education center. The site also is expected to be used for staff offices and professional development. Renovating the 125,000-square-foot complex will cost about $19 million, district officials say. The site had been home to First Family Church, which lost the property last year in a foreclosure.
