3 San Diego area districts seek construction bonds

Proponents say facility needs outweigh concerns over economy

Three San Diego area school districts--Grossmont Union, Lakeside Union and Lemon Grove--are asking voters to support bond proposals that would upgrade school facilities. Opponents say California's weak economy makes this the wrong time to raise taxes. Supporters say that delaying needed repairs and upgrades will only increase future construction costs.
