Physics buildings under construction at Texas A&M

Two connected buildings will have more than 150,000 square feet of space.

Texas A&M University in College Station is building two facilities to house its physics programs. The joined buildings, named for alumnus George P. Mitchell and his wife, Cynthia, will have floor space totaling more than 150,000 square feet and include an array of laboratories, classrooms, offices and an auditorium. The Mitchells donated $35 million to the $57 million project. The architect is Michael Graves & Associates.
