Nov. 19, 2010

From The Sacramento Bee: Twin Rivers (Calif.) Unified School District trustees have voted to close Harmon Johnson Elementary School in Sacramento, citing safety concerns about nearby gas lines and an adjacent field containing a natural gas storage facility. Students and staff will be sent 3/4 of a mile away to Las Palmas school, a former junior high campus that houses several programs, including an adult education school.
