Clarke County (Va.) district plans new high school

800-student facility will replace existing high school that was built for 450.
TheClarke County (Va.) school district is building a new high school. The high school, expected to contain about 140,000 square feet of space, is slated to be completed by early 2011. Initially, it will accommodate about 800 students. The building could later be increased to 158,000 square feet if the budget allows. It would replace the existing Clarke County High School, which opened 21 years ago with a capacity of 456 students, but now has a enrollment of about 750.
