St. Louis school gets a green roof

New City School will have 8 species of garden plant on its 1,500-square-foot roof
May 13, 2009

From The St. Louis Post-Dispatch: When students at New City School in St. Louis go to the cafeteria next year, they will be eating beneath eight species of sedum, a type of garden plant, planted on the roof. Following a trend that appears to be gathering momentum, the school in the Central West End neighborhood is in the process of "going green," and its new green roof is a major step toward that goal.
