Trustee donates $35 million to USC dental school

School will be renamed in honor of donor Herman Ostrow

News release: The University of Southern California has received a $35 million donation for its School of Dentistry. Herman Ostrow, a USC trustee and alumnus, made the gift, believed to be the largest individual donation to a dental school in the United States. In recognition of the donation, the school has been renamed the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. The gift will help renovate and improve clinical facilities, bring in new faculty members and support research.
