Texas college puts $103 million construction plan on the ballot

College of the Mainland enrollment has grown by 50 percent in last five years.

The College of the Mainland in Texas City, Texas, is asking voters May 12 to approve a $103 million bond issue to replace two buildings and build additions to others. The buildings in question are 30 years old. Enrollment at the college has grown from 2,236 in fall 2001 to 3,384 in fall 2006
