Group wanted to create an arts center at former Pacific View Elementary
Nov. 1, 2012

From The San Diego Union-Tribune: A deal to sell the Pacific View Elementary School site in Encinitas, Calif., to a regional arts group has fallen through. The nonprofit Art Pulse had wanted to create an arts center there. It planned to pay the Encinitas Union School District at least $7.5 million for the property, but backed out of the deal this week. The district closed the campus in 2003 because of declining enrollment and has since used the spot for storage.
