From The Detroit News: Anthony Powell, the man police believe killed 20-year-old student Asia McGowan at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, Mich., before killing himself, posted hateful videos on the Internet in which he railed against black women and people who believe in the theory of evolution. Powell's grief-stricken parents say their 28-year-old son had a history of mental illness.

From The Detroit Free Press: Asia McGowan was a rising starlet -- a dreamer who wanted to become a famous choreographer and actress. But those dreams ended when she was shot to death by a classmate at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, Mich. Police say Anthony Powell, 28, of Detroit shot McGowan, then himself, in the MacKenzie Fine Arts Center on campus.

EARLIER: From The Detroit Free Press: A 20-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man have been killed in a murder-suicide at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, Mich., police say. The two were in a theater class together today, but authorities have been unable to substantiate any relationship between the two. Police believe the man shot the woman and then shot himself. The 17,000-student college had light attendance because of Good Friday, and it appeared that no class was using the room at the time of the shooting.
