Rebuilt high school to open in Orlando, Fla.

Facility will replace existing Edgewater High
Dec. 26, 2010

From The Orlando Sentinel: The Orange County (Fla.) district is poised to open a rebuilt Edgewater High School in Orlando. Students will move into 345,000 square feet of new space Jan. 3, starting with a grand procession from the football stadium. The original 1952 building has been getting additions and patch jobs for decades. But this month, a massive chunk of the auditorium ceiling fell in, and the bleachers in the gym stopped retracting. Outdoor walkways have been leaking and shedding particle board for years. The new building was designed by CT Hsu + Associates.
