Remodeling brings optimism to Washington, D.C., school

Ferebee-Hope Elementary one of many schools to get upgrades

From The Washington Post: A $5.2 million renovation this summer at Ferebee-Hope Elementary School in Washington, D.C., created 29 bright, cheerful classrooms with touch-screen "smart boards." The carpet is out; brand-new heating, cooling and fire suppression systems are in. The work is part of a $1 billion overhaul of the city's 125 schools.
