Stillwater (Minn.) district drops plans to buy site for childhood center

Environmental tests show land in question is contaminated

From The St. Paul Pioneer Press: Stillwater (Minn.) school officials will seek another location for the Early Childhood Family Center. Officials are terminating a $3.2 million land purchase agreement because an environmental study found PCE contamination on the site. The site could have been cleaned up, but district officials didn't want to delay the project or jeopardize student safety.
