Former administrator in Texas district gets probation for accepting bribes

Maintenance and operations director in Northside district took money from a vendor

From The San Antonio Express-News: The former maintenance and operations director in the Northside (Texas) Independent School District has been sentenced to five years probation for accepting $25,000 in bribes from a vendor. Bernie Morin, 59, was indicted on bribery charges in July, more than a year after he resigned from the San Antonio-based district. Co-defendant Adan Flores, accused of paying the bribes on behalf of his company, Datech Services Inc., still is awaiting trial.
