Classes were canceled at a Connecticut elementary school after traces of the E. coli bacteria were found in the drinking water, NBC Connecticut reported. School officials are sanitizing the water and attempting to discern the source of the bacteria. A lab test turned up the bacteria, and if a follow-up test comes back clean, the school will reopen Sept. 2. No one has reported being sick. The school uses well water.
