The Kanawha County (W.Va.) school district is upgrading HVAC systems at 13 of its school buildings.

WCHS-TV reports that over the next three years, the district will spend $32 million to improve HVAC systems at eight elementary campuses: Sharon Dawes, Ruthlawn, Sissonville, Chamberlain, Pratt, Bridgeview, Shoals and Montrose; and two middle school campuses: Elkview and South Charleston. Other buildings that will receive upgrades: the district central office, the Regulatory Training Center and the Edison Staff Development Center.

The project is being funded by federal Covid aid from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Funds (ESSER).
