Christian university purchases mobile home park in Phoenix for student housing

Grand Canyon University, a private Christian university, has purchased a mobile home park in Phoenix and plans to build student housing there.

Those living in Periwinkle Mobile Home Park will have to move by October in order to make room for the expansion, reports KNXV-TV. 

Grand Canyon bought the property in 2016 and says it made it clear the site would be used for future campus development.

The university says it is providing assistance for the mobile home park tenants. It is offering up to $5,000 to furnish their new homes.
