36 adults injured in school bus turnover crash in New York City
Thirty-six adults were hurt Thursday after a New York City school bus overturned.
The bus was carrying drivers for a city summer program, reports WNBC-TV. Authorities have issued a summons to the driver for dangerous driving.
No children were on the bus, which was carrying 37 adults including the driver when it crashed on the Hutchinson River Parkway north of the Cross Bronx Expressway at about 6 a.m. Three people were reported to be seriously injured, officials said.
Authorities say the driver tried to exit the highway from the middle lane, which may have caused the flip.
All of the passengers were able to get themselves out of the vehicle.
