Nixa (Mo.) district unveils performing arts center on high school campus
The Nixa (Mo.) school district is holding a grand opening this weekend for its new performing arts center.
KYTV-TV reports that the Aetos Center for the Performing Arts — built on the campus of Nixa High School — will provide a space for school productions as well as a community center to bring national acts to the area.
The first event is a magic and illusion show.
The center holds more than 1,000 people and cost more than $14 million.
The funding came from a 2019 bond issue approved by voters.
The performance hall inside of the Aetos Center will officially be known as the Meridian Title Performance Hall, the result of d a $300,000 five-year partnership between the Nixa district and Meridian.
