Renovated auditoriums unveiled at 2 high schools in Green Bay, Wisconsin

The upgrades at Green Bay West and Preble high schools were paid for with funds from a bond issue approved by voters in 2022.

The Green Bay (Wisconsin) district has unveiled newly renovated auditoriums at two of its high schools.

WFRV-TV reports that the improvements at Preble and Green Bay West high schools  were made possible after voters approved a $92.6 million referendum in 2022.

The updates at Green Bay West's auditorium include:

  • Microphones and sound system
  • Stage lighting and curtains
  • Catwalks above the ceiling
  • New seats
  • Lighted strips in aisles
  • Redone floors
  • Paint and plaster renovations
  • Climate-controlled room, designed for piano storage
  • Backstage monitors

Some of the new and updated features at Preble's auditorium, which was built more than 60 years ago:

  • New seating and carpeting
  • Stage lighting
  • Microphones and sound system
  • Ceiling catwalks
  • LED house lighting
  • Orchestra pit railing, floor and wall finishes
  • ADA-Compliant unisex restroom
