The university says that the 15-month project will add modern infrastructure and architectural updates, as well as other features that will enhance the overall recreation experience.
The improvements:
13,000 square feet of additional fitness center space
New turf training areas
Additional fitness equipment
New multipurpose spaces
Modernized locker rooms
Funding comes from general obligation bonds supported by the existing facilities fees. The Board of Trustees approved the project in November 2023.
All university recreation programming and offerings will be available during construction.
