The Ojai (California) Unified School District has broken ground on an aquatics center at Nordhoff Junior High and High School in Ojai.

The Ojai Valley News reports that the $15.2 million Nordhoff Aquatics Center will provide a 35-meter swimming pool.

“Our school and our community need this badly," school board member Kathy Smith said. "This is exciting.”

Funds for the aquatic center come from a $45 million bond measure approved by voters in 2020. Voters approved the $45 million Measure K in 2020.

Construction project managers estimate the facility will be completed in September 2025.
