$250 million stadium renovation under way at University of Missouri
The University of Missouri has broken ground on a $250 million renovation of its stadium in Columbia that will modernize the home of the university's football program.
The university says the Memorial Stadium Centennial Project will be complete for the 2026 season, coinciding with the 100-year anniversary of Memorial Stadium's opening. The Board of Curators unanimously approved the project, the largest renovation project in Memorial Stadium's history, in September.
The upgrades include enhancements to fan amenities, expanded premium area seating and state-of-the-art facilities to ensure Memorial Stadium remains a premier venue for college football.
A new multilevel north concourse addition will feature a variety of new premium seating options, along with modernized concessions, enhanced restrooms and a new stadium entry plaza.
The architect is DLR Group, and the builder is Whiting-Turner.
