Construction trades school set to open next year in Kentucky
The Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky is opening a school next year in Covington that will focus on construction trades.
The Enzweiler Building Institute will begin offering classes in September 2022, reports The Lane Report.
Initial programs will provide instruction for carpentry, welding, electricity, HVAC, and plumbing. The institute also will offer and an Introduction to trades program for high school students.
The Covington Board of Commissioners has allocated $200,000 over five years for the school. The money will come from a fund set up to spur economic activity in the city.
The institute is working to finalize a lease for the $1.22 million campus.
