North Texas Daily reports that construction of the 111,000-square-foot education building is scheduled to be completed in late fall 2026.
The university says the interdisciplinary building will expand research infrastructure for biology, chemistry, physics, data science and computer science. The facility will house modern technology, state-of-the-art research labs, group meeting rooms and opportunities for students and faculty to collaborate on research projects.
When choosing the new building’s location, rainwater flow, cost, surrounding structures, utility access and more were all important considerations, according to Pamela Padilla, university vice president for research and innovation.
