The Sayreville (N.J.) district is hoping to pass a $97.4 million referendum later this year to pay for much needed improvements to schools.

All eight school buildings would be in line for improvements, particularly the electrical grid infrastructures, air conditioning systems, windows, doors, and roofs, reports MyCentralJersey.com

The budget has dedicated about $77 million for the HVAC installations.

The plan also calls for renovating the district's Selover School, which now houses the district's administrative offices. This site would be converted to a second preschool building for the district.

If approved, the construction could be completed by December 2025.
