Conroe (Texas) district seeks approval of nearly $2 billion in bonds
The Conroe (Texas) school board has placed a school bond proposal of nearly $2 billion on the Nov. 7 ballot.
Community Impact reports that the funds from a successful bond issue would be used to build eight schools, as well as additions and renovations to existing campuses.
The proposal totals $1.98 billion and is divided into four ballot questions.
Proposition A seeks $1.8 billion to construct eight new schools, add classrooms to three campuses, renovate five campuses, restructure two schools and make other infrastructure upgrades.
Proposition B seeks $40 million to acquire instructional technology.
Proposition C seeks$112.87 million to add physical education classrooms or elementary gymnasiums to16 campuses; build an ag barn, and construct additions to two existing barns.
Proposition D seeks $22.9 million to build a 50-meter outdoor pool expand and upgrade the existing natatorium.
