University of Oklahoma commits to wind power

Officials say that by 2013, all electricity for the Norman campus will come from wind

TheUniversity of Oklahoma's Norman campus says that by 2013, it will purchase 100 percent of its electricity from wind power. The school has signed a wind power agreement with Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company. The utility is constructing a commercial-scale wind farm near Woodward, Okla. It is expected to begins producing energy in 2010.
