Homeless man shot at Florida Atlantic University (w/Video)

Man suffers non-life-threatening injuries after brandishing a knife at campus police officers.

A homeless man armed with a knife on the roof of a building at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton was shot and wounded by campus police. CBSMiami reports that when the man produced a knife and began moving toward the officers, they opened fire. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The campus was not placed on lockdown as a result of the shooting, which happened in a corporate research section away from where most classes are held.
