If voters in Round Lake Area Schools Community Unit District 116 do not approve a $2.2 million referendum proposal April 3 to increase taxes, the district will not receive a $5.5 million emergency loan from the state of Illinois. If the referendum fails, the district could be split into two districts--one for elementary, one for high school.
