Districts in Chicago suburbs break ground on renovations

schools Supt. Patricia Pickles, groundbreaking ceremonies at seven sites across the district proved the community could rebuild its schools by building a coalition of partners.

. Nearly $15 million from a district bond fund, federal and state grants is dedicated to the renovation, which will add more than 50,000 square feet to the building. New spaces include a second gymnasium with a workout area and locker room, a science laboratory, a 500-seat auditorium and at least a half-dozen new classrooms.
