Gaston (N.C.) district looks to build replacement middle school
The Gaston (N.C.) district is planning to construct a replacement Grier Middle School in Gastonia.
The existing Grier Middle is a 157,000-square-foot building that was built about 61 years ago, reports The Gaston Gazette.
An architect is drawing up plans for the new school, and the district will receive bids for construction this fall, superintendent Jeff Booker said. Construction is expected to begin in the late fall or early winter.
The district is aiming for completion in summer 2024.
