Federal funds may be allocated to raze Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas

In response to the shooting deaths at Robb Elementary, President Biden has suggested providing grants that would help build a new school and pay for long-term health care needs in the community.
Texas state Sen. Ronald Gutierrez said that President Biden, while visiting Uvalde over the weekend, indicated an interest in providing federal money to replace Robb Elementary School, reports NBC News.
Biden is also floating the idea of federal grants to pay for long-term health care needs in the community, Gutierrez said.
“He said, 'I’m not going to leave here, we’re gonna bring resources, we’re gonna look at bringing a federal grant to raze the school,'” Gutierrez said. “Every parent that I’ve talked to doesn’t want to see this school again...is traumatized. Every little kid that I’ve talked to is scared to even go near the school.”
