University of Minnesota Rochester looks at plans to convert hotel into student housing
The University of Minnesota Rochester is considering a plan to transform a downtown hotel into additional student housing.
The proposed renovation of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel would create living space for about 403 students, a dining hall and a fitness center, reports KIMT.com.
The University of Minnesota Board of Regents will discuss the proposal with hotel officials.
University officials want to open the new student housing next summer.
