Catholic university plans expansion in Bucks County, Pa.

Aug. 22, 2022
The new location for Holy Family University will be a 47,573-square-foot facility with 21 classrooms and 10 laboratory rooms.

Holy Family University in Philadelphia is expanding with another site in Newtown.

The location will be known as the Newtown West campus and is less than two miles away from the university's existing Newtown East campus, the university says in a news release.

The university acquired the location because its Philadelphia campus is at capacity. The new location will enable the university to accommodate additional students at both the Northeast Philadelphia and existing Newtown campus locations.

Newtown West is a 47,573-square-foot facility and sits on a 6.5-acre site. The space features 21 classrooms and 10 laboratory rooms, a library/resource center, bookstore, cafeteria, and an outdoor quad.

With the acquisition, the university is planning to expand its computer science and cybersecurity programs.
