Work on Northwestern University’s new Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, Ill., could begin this summer.
University representatives recently presented a final, detailed construction report to the city. The 415,000-square foot, six-floor building will consist mostly of glass and use natural heating and cooling methods, the Daily Northwestern reported. It will overlook Lake Michigan.
The plans also call for constructing stairs that will double as seating. The building could be completed by 2016, with the university seeking at least a silver LEED rating. A contractor has not been selected yet.
The facility will house the Kellogg MBA program and the Department of Economics.
