The Cuesta College Board of Trustees approved multiple contracts that will enable work on to begin on several projects approved under a bond election approving Measure L, in Paso Robles, Calif.
On contract approved architectural services with PMSM Architects and the other was an agreement for ongoing construction management services with Blach Construction, the Paso Robles Daily News reported.
As a result of the bond that passed in November 2014, the District is now engaged in the design, bidding and construction process for renovation projects on the District’s two campuses. The next phase will include new construction, modernization, renovation and upgrades to facilities on the District’s San Luis Obispo Campus and North County Campus.
The contract for the PMSM Architects for construction of the North County Campus Center is a fixed fee and not to exceed $2,599,700. The contract for San Luis Obispo Campus Instructional Building is $1,892,400, according to the Paso Robles Daily News.
The SLO Campus Instructional Building is slated to be two-stories and approximately 32,000 square feet, and the NCC Center will be 44,000 square feet and also two stories. Work on the projects is expected to begin in winter 2015.
