Ozark (Mo.) district begins construction on early childhood center and high school innovation center
Ozark Innovation Center and Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center are two major expansions being developed in the Ozark (Mo.) school district as part of a long-range plan, reports KY3 News.
The expansion and renovation of the Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center are expected to be completed in August 2022. It will connect the Ozark School District’s old office building to its existing childhood facility.
Kent Sappington, executive director of elementary learning, says the upgrades will preserve the building’s century-old history.
The expanded building will enable more children to be served.
In August 2022, the former Fasco building in Ozark will become the new Innovation Center for Ozark High School and serve as an extension of the main campus. It will also act as the district’s new administrative office.
Jeremy Brownfield, principal at Ozark High, said the district decided not to go with a traditional career center or freshman center model.
The Innovation Center would enable 9th-graders to rejoin the high school. It would also provide students with a variety of skills through real-world, tangible experiences.
