Rocky Vista University, a Colorado-based osteopathic medical school, is building a campus in Billings, Mont.

The Billings location will consist of a 135,000-square-foot building on a 12-acre campus. The campus will feature a simulation center, holographic technology, two auditoriums, student wellness areas with a gym and yoga studio, reports the Independent Record

It will be Rocky Vista's third campus. The others are in Parker, Colo., and Ivins, Utah.

According to the university there is no four-year medical school in Montana, which is why the university chose to expand in Billings.

Completion is projected for December 2022, and  80 first-year students are expected to begin their studies in summer 2023.
